Server connection

By default the Data+ Process Chain connects to the Data+ Server with the same url as Qlik Sense on port 7766. With a standard server installation, there are no further settings required for the connection.

Once the connection is established, a processchain can be selected and the password (if set) entered. This processchains are like Tables used for authentication but hey also synchronize the data across multiple instances of the Processchain in the same App.

In a SaaS environment the connection settings can be found on you Data+ Server
(Settings->General->Server)
Use the connection string to quickly connect your extension to the server.

The Saving Method determines the visibility scope of state in processchains. You can choose between:

  • Default synchronizes state between all connected Extensions.
  • User synchronizes state between Extensions the same (Qlik)user opens.
  • App synchronizes state between all Extensions in the same app.
  • Identity Query synchronizes state between all Extensions based on the identity query (https://example.com/...?identity=value)

This synchronization across multiple extensions only works for entries not openend. You may need a reconnect if you change a entry open in multiple extensions.

The access token must match with the servers one. In most cases it can be left at the default setting.

Users connecting without a license will get an error notification. The message can be turned off under Settings->General->Hide missing license message. Once a license has been assigned, the user icon can be clicked to reconnect with the server or simply reload the page.
For further licensing information see the Data+ Server License section.

In case the server has no valid certificate, users are very likely to see a flashing connection icon and an error message shortly after.

Clicking the link will open an info page of the server. The following warning will show up:
